An Author Record is a record of publications and citation metrics of an individual researcher. Any author with a paper indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection has an author record.  Author Records can be viewed using Web of Science’s Author search.  You can find more information about this here.

Author Records can be used as an overview of the Web of Science Core Collection indexed outputs of an individual researcher.  This grouping is intended to aid in the evaluation of your research outputs. An Author Record in Web of Science can be “viewed as a set of results” and is then available for analysis in InCites and tracking in EndNote.

Author Records are generated algorithmically and continue to be algorithmically augmented until they are “claimed” by a researcher on Publons or “curated” by a user of Web of Science.
