How do I automatically export my verified review history to my ORCiD profile?

In order to provide maximum flexibility and utility, we have partnered with ORCID so that you can export your verified review history from Publons to your ORCID profile.
- On the ‘Permissions Settings’ page, click "Link your ORCID" and follow the steps to link your ORCID account to Publons.
- Once ORCID profile is linked, navigate back to permissions settings page and select ‘Grant Publons permission to update your ORCID works’ and confirm authorization request.
On the emails tab of ‘Account Settings’ page, add and verify any email addresses you used for past peer review work, and save.
Once set up, every eligible verified review added to your Publons record will automatically be exported to your ORCiD profile. Publons transmits this data securely and makes sure not to compromise reviewer anonymity or infringe on journal policies.
Eligible reviews are those which meet the following criteria:
- Has been verified
- Is pre-publication
- Is associated with a journal which has an ISSN or eISSN
- Is either signed or associated with the journal
On ORCiD, every review is associated with a unique resolvable identifier that links back to a record on Publons. This allows the community to confirm the review has been verified and, if it’s an open review, allows them to read it too.
